Courtyard Cottage 1 at Grove House is something special. Formerly part of the stable block, this cottage will leave you chaffing at the bit.

Downstairs you will find your bedroom with romantic old fashioned iron bed. The cut-stone walls are lit by lamps rescued from an old railway carriage and the only concession to modern times is the flat-screen TV. Slip into your waffle bathrobe and snuggle up to watch the late movie. The bathroom with shower is adjacent to the bedroom.

Upstairs is open-plan. This allows the natural light to flood in through four skylights and French windows. The kitchen may be compact but it still has a hob and oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The table seats four. The lounge has a sofa (which converts to a double bed), an armchair, full satellite TV (sorry ladies that means Sky Sports), DVD, CD and iPod dock. There is a direct dial phone and free Wi-Fi broadband access (subject to network accessibility).

The best bit about this cottage is the private outside elevated deck – with private hot-tub.

Slip into your robe, switch on the deck lights, pour yourself a drink and slide into the deliciously warm waters of the tub. Let the jacuzzi jets massage away the stress of daily pressures whilst you look up at the starlit sky. It is heaven.

And since you are staying at Grove House you also have the option of taking breakfast and/or dinner in the Main House – or served in your cottage (subject to availability – please check).
